A billionaire, a fake whistleblower, and deep state spooks walk into a bar ...
It's no joke. They've joined together to push government censorship.
In case you missed it …
If the focus on PayPal censorship has you wanting to close your account, here are ten alternatives to consider.
A recent Gallup poll shows that Americans' trust in media is still at a record low. Interestingly, 70% of Democrats have confidence in media reporting, while just 14% of Republicans and 27% of independents say the same thing.
When Biden was at a Baskin-Robbins in Portland, Oregon last weekend, he drew controversy for insisting to reporters that rising inflation was not a major concern. A WaPo reporter chose instead to tweet about … his choice of ice cream flavor.
Libs of TikTok, which has a great Substack along with the TikTok channel, just reported on a teacher who was put on leave after assigning a short story. The essay graphically described 9-year-old girls watching a grown man masturbate until completion, and was assigned to high school students.
Dear Friends,
A fake former Facebook whistleblower wants to censor social media even more.
The case of Frances Haugen was always suspicious. She’s a former Facebook employee who leaked thousands of pages of Facebook documents showing the bad effects of “misinformation.” She came out of nowhere but arrived on the scene with a legal team, PR company, a Senate appearance, and adulation.
It was unsurprising to learn she had help from a long-time Obama operative.
Her testimony was clear: information from Facebook was damaging children and democracy. The government needed more control over online content. “Misinformation” and “hate” were the main headlines, and she compared Facebook to the tobacco industry.
She received star treatment from politicians and media alike who want the internet to rid itself of pesky speech that opposes their narrative.
She’s now teaming up with a group whose members read like a Deep State roll call in order to push for more censorship.
She’s working on The “Council for Responsible Social Media” along with former CIA directors Leon Panetta and Porter Goss, Obama Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, and former House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt. They’re being funded by Pierre Omidyar, and a liberal trust.
Omidyar, the network’s billionaire co-founder, is a long-time supporter of left-wing causes and efforts to police content on social media platforms. He made a whopping $45 million contribution to the Civic Action Fund, which helps liberals in swing states with the stated goal of getting “low-propensity voters” to become “lifelong voters.”
This new group they’re founding wants legislation that would punish “misinformation,” and generally weaponize censorship.
Back when Haugen first leaked the “whistleblower” documents, Glenn Greenwald wrote an excellent piece titled “Democrats and Media Do Not Want to Weaken Facebook, Just Commandeer its Power to Censor.”
Agitating for more online censorship has been a leading priority for the Democratic Party ever since they blamed social media platforms … for the 2016 defeat of the rightful heir to the White House throne, Hillary Clinton.
And make no mistake, even regular voters understand who will be helped — and harmed — by more government control over the internet. Here’s a recent Pew survey:
There’s no way around it. Modern day liberal policies seek to criminalize and punish opposition to their ideology, whether through the court system or government censorship, sold under the ruse of “safety and trust.”
Don’t trust them.

When totalitarians show you who they are, believe them.
I knew she was sus. I just don’t know how we rid ourselves of this pestilence - the GOP sat there and swallowed the charade whole.
Honestly, we have no representation any more. They are all in it for the corporations and the Twitter followers. The GOP, writ large, is a failure and should be shamed by their actions.
