Dear Friends —
It seems like every day we’re presented with even more proof that kids are being hit with transgender ideology in underhanded ways they don’t understand.
These messages are causing children who aren’t old enough for tattoos to make massive, incomprehensibly legal, decisions about their bodies that will impact them for the rest of their lives.
A piece in The National Review earlier this month shows how transgenderism is, in part, a social contagion that spreads among teenagers. You’ll find more trans teens in certain pockets of the country than in others, and many teens who later detransition cite peer influence as a key factor in why they changed genders in the first place.
The transgender clinic whistleblower, whose story I shared last week, showed the social contagion theory in action. She also said teens were given hormones and surgery with astonishingly little counseling and they didn’t fully understand what they were doing to their bodies.
We’ve also seen how the language around transgender stories has changed. Kids aren’t having their genitals hacked off, they’re receiving “gender-affirming care,” which sounds a lot less scary. What kid doesn’t want people affirming them?
Even many adults don’t spot the ways in which the trans agenda is sneaking into acceptance. We surely can’t expect kids to see it. And we definitely can’t expect them to make rational decisions about procedures that could leave them sterile and permanently altered for the rest of their lives.
