Democrats are in danger, not democracy
Today is a reality check for politicians, the media, and all of us.
In case you missed it …
Elon Musk calls for a Republican-controlled Congress.
Joe Rogan says the “woke” left wants censorship because the right got good at social media.
The Big Tech purge continues as Facebook parent company Meta gets ready to fire thousands of employees.
Dear Friends —
Small businesses face reality every night when they count the sales receipts for the day. College professors, on the other hand, can go their whole lives without their theories ever being tested.
In American politics, our arguments get somewhat settled every other year. Today is our reality check.
If the pollsters are to be believed, Republicans will have a good-to-very-good evening. Still, I’m reminded not to gloat, and never want to be as shocked as Hillary’s overconfident supporters were in 2016.
For the 2022 elections, Democrat strategists couldn’t easily point to issues where the Republicans could conceivably screw up any worse than the current administration. Between soaring crime, fuel costs, overall inflation, gender & race nuttiness and more, it stretched credulity to accuse Republicans of having the incompetence to do a worse job.
Abortion helped motivate their base, but it wasn’t enough. Instead, Democrats decided to build on the year-long January 6 show trial, framing the midterms against Trump, a man not on the ballot.
On September 1, President Biden framed the election clearly. From a blood-red Dr. Strangelove inspired stage, he attacked “MAGA Republicans” who “do not respect the Constitution … do not believe in the rule of law.” And a lot more.
The backdrop was fitting for the message: vote Democrat or America is finished.
Considering Democrats currently control the presidency, House of Reps and Senate, they can at best decry an “illegitimate” Supreme Court, as well as GOP candidates on the ballot who believe the 2020 election was stolen. (In an unusually transparent display of hypocrisy, Democrats spent many millions of campaign dollars in the primaries actually boosting the “election denying” Republicans they hoped to more easily campaign against.)
The media and the Democrats work hand-in-hand, of course, and a quick search of “democracy is in danger” shows the propaganda at play. The hysteria was widespread, but perhaps best summed up by MSNBC’s “presidential historian.”
To call this ridiculous hyperbole does a disservice to ridiculous hyperbole.
The best counter-argument is America.
Our government structure is a brilliant model that has withstood far greater challenges than a midterm election over its hundreds of years. The Founding Fathers understood not only innate human rights, but the baser instincts of men, and designed a robust system that has inspired the world.
It’s not complacent nor naive to believe in the strength of America, and pledge to give all to support her.
We are 335,000,000 of the luckiest people on the planet, and I’m optimistic that today we’ll reject the desperate politics of despair.

The “Power of the Purse” applies to more than just congress. Every time we spend a dollar, that is a vote FOR something! Please vote with your dollars for YOUR values! AMERICA WINS! The FREE World WINS!!
You can make all the "good" excuses you want to, twist it this way and that, this is not of God. Confusion is from the devil. You are confusing the issue whether or not you realize it. Simply put, the United States of America is a Constitutional Republic...period! We have a Constitution, we have an Electoral college which does not make up a "democracy". WHY would you even want to create confusion and lies where there need not be??
Again, please stop spreading the lie that we are a democracy. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS NOT A DEMOCRACY, WE ARE A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, ALWAYS HAS BEEN, ALWAYS WILL BE. Just call it for what it is!
