A few months ago I was about to brag that my YouTube channel had passed 1 million views. Six weeks later, it’s now passed 12 million.
I’m happy to report that over the past two months, the video channel – Elephants in Rooms – has exploded in popularity. We've now jumped to 200,000 subscribers, on top of the 30,000 of you here.
As many of you know, I used to write more directly about the politics of the day. But over the past year, I’ve shifted toward what you might call politics-adjacent questions—issues that help people think, not just react. Less tribal heat, more human curiosity.
What I've found more compelling and more useful is digging into these questions that get people to question how and why the world works the way it does. I'm not trying to “win” a fight. I want us all to learn why the fight exists in the first place.
The feedback tells me it’s working. People are engaging—not just watching, but thinking, pushing back, forwarding links to friends, and starting conversations I actually want to have.
If you’ve ignored the video links so far, fair enough. But it might be time to give one a try. And if you’re already watching—thanks for being part of it.
Moving forward, these newsletters will sync up to the twice-weekly videos. Each one will come with a quick note here—topic overview, what surprised me, full script link, and anything else that didn’t make it on camera.
More soon!
— Ken
PS: Here’s an easy one for you. Do Jews control the media?
I go way past the simplistic memes and headlines. Give it a watch! Or a read.
I've been following your videos, great work! Keep it up, Ken.
Hi Ken, would love for you to do a video on weaponising of Islamophobia... in the UK we have seen institutional failure with the grooming gangs going back decades and even today those topics are only starting to surface due to support of Elon Musk, till earlier this year anyone that suggested any connection with religion and the grooming gang was quickly labelled as far right. Its still the same in any workplace enviornment in UK.
New York has recently elected a Muslim mayor and what we have seen in the UK is Muslim mayors prioritising issues such as Palestine than actually doing their job, would be interesting to see what happens in New York.
