Ken, I love your content for your in depth research, balanced views, and the wisdom you show as you tackle difficult topics. I wish I’d found a way to reach you to share this message first, but unfortunately I’m also reaching out to tell you that I was really disappointed with your sponsor for this episode. I would never expect you to recommend what is a thinly-veiled online gambling site. Please reconsider. It puts your whole brand into question, and I think your content is too important to let a fly land in the ointment.

@kenlacorte I am amazed you only referred to spam callers but never considered scam callers as the reason people don't answer the polls. Nobody knows who is at the other end of the phone line, nobody knows who really is sending out the online poll. It could be a phishing expedition because you have to identify your age income etc

The polls picked Dewey in the 1948 election. The Chicago Tribune even printed the headline, Dewey Wins. Truman won of course. The women didn't like him because of his mustache. One woman said, He looks like the little man on the wedding cake. I believe pollsters want a certain candidate to win and simply sling numbers in their directions. Truman was also a WW1 vet and that pulled in a lot of votes. He OK'd the dropping of the Atom bomb that helped end the war. The polls today are very left. I believe it started when newspapers started calling Joesph Stalin 'Uncle Joe' in the newspapers. The Trump polls had Harris winning. Trump's wins came over two women. The voters didn't want a woman president. Governor Spamburger of Virginia is already proving how bad she already is. Spamburger for president?

I really appreciate this video. I felt like I was living in the upside down world in the run up to the 2024 election. I voted for Joe Biden, as did many people in my political "cohort", if we call it that. However, in 2024 many of us found Kamala Harris to be an underwhelming and distasteful candidate, I left my ballot blank. It was hard to watch the news that was spinning the story that Kamala was going to cruise into a victory and possibly win Indiana given my real world observation.

I knew something was up, this video helps me reconcile the difference. I think Ken got it right that people tend to herd together in their beliefs, it's a challenge to go against the grain. People also tend to believe what they want to believe, I think these compounding problems stretch far beyond elections in our modern media environment.

What a time to live in. So much access to information, but at the same time, so much access to misleading information.
