I like your idea Ken. It has been a struggle to stay positive during these difficult times for us conservatives. So your idea just might be the gift I need is Holiday season.
Merry Christmas Ken and I hope this new year brings You good health and happiness.
I 100% agree about avoiding the "We're living in a dystopian hellscape!!" outrage bait, but there's still plenty of investigative reporting out there that focuses on facts.
Maybe every day or two, pick up a newspaper or go to the home page of a trusted, facts-first news site to get a taste of what's happening in the world. Don't scroll too far, and don't rely on social media or push notifications to influence your reading. Chances are you'll get a fair perspective on current events without being exposed to emotionally driven infotainment, which is exhausting and demoralizing.

Thank you Sue. I'm convinced there's a correlation between the two. Merry Christmas!
Thanks. Excellent advice I think I will heed.
