In case you missed it …
Elon Musk says some political candidates running for office were secretly shadow-banned on Twitter.
NY Times not-so-subtly encourages advertisers to drop Twitter.
Despite denials, the FBI had one of Seth Rich’s laptops all along.
Dear Friends —
At Fox, we used to joke that we’d discovered a market “niche”: half of America.
We knew that conservative voices were missing from television news, and we worked to give viewers one place where they wouldn’t be ignored, insulted, or mocked.
We’d watch liberals freak out about the channel even in its infancy, apparently not satisfied with controlling ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, NPR, PBS, and a whole lot more. Those same liberals are freaking out right now, and it’s understandable. Elon has taken a page out of Fox’s playbook.
At first blush, Twitter looks silly. I mean, what kind of adults sit around “tweeting”?
Yet social media has replaced television as the primary source of news, and until recently, it was dominated by those hostile to conservatives. I’m no wild-eyed ideologue, but I’ve been banned or censored on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram. None of those actions were fair by any definition, but they were hardball politics masquerading as “safety.”
Outside of a few still-small upstarts, like Truth Social or Rumble, being a conservative online means you’re always one step away from being muted or banished.
Not anymore. Elon Musk has discovered half of America, and it will earn him even more billions.
Over 40 million Americans use Twitter daily. And conservatives can now debate, find like-minded friends, and easily follow their own narrative not driven or censored by San Francisco values.
Elon is too big for the tech chiefs to squash – like they did to Parler – and as he builds out features such as long-form video and more, conservatives will find a welcoming and powerful online home.
Even if every liberal leaves that platform, which they won’t, the conservative “niche” is still half of America. And Twitter will be the place for political debate in America.
It’s Fox News for the next generation.
Who would’ve thought that Elon was this smart? I mean, besides co-founding PayPal, making an electric car that goes from 0-60 in 1.9 seconds, and launching his own re-useable rockets into space … what else has he really accomplished?

It is refreshing! Please remember not to limit comments to AMERICA. This is bringing FREEDOM to the World! It will truly be EARTHSHAKING! Breaking the Chains that bind us! “United We Stand.”
“In GOD We Trust.”
Just ask yourself, what problem has Twitter solved? I've always loathed Twitter because it creates a phony simulacrum of social engagement, promotes the oversimplification of complex issues, funnels people into echo chambers, encourages performative virtue-signaling, and makes it harder for people to have productive, face-to-face, good-faith conversations. Musk's ownership won't fix any of those problems because they're all embedded in Twitter's structure. Humans have evolved to talk and write to one another, but Twitter and other social media platforms represent another form of communication entirely -- one that's harming democracy and making us all feel more alone.
