The New York Times has historically been a terrible unAmerican news rag putting forth left wing propaganda. Whether it was then MSM (including the NYT) hedging favorably for fascism (yes … it’s a form of socialism) in the 1920s and 1930s, or the NYT’s refusing to give back their Soviet propagandist’s (Walter Durante) Pulitzer Prize for whitewashing the Holodomor perpetrated by Stalin against Ukraine.
In my lifetime, the New York Times has always sucked. It nearly always promotes bigger centralized government over small “r” republicanism based on our US Constitution, and the NYT virtually always promotes collectivism over individual rights.
If the NYT were to go bankrupt and fold … America would be a better place.
If they’d take out all the bias, and just say “a man broke the law and resisted arrest” .....”period”
anyone on certain drugs in their system can fight like a banshee no matter what you tase them with or pop them with. They get 10 feet tall and bullet proof
The NYT is a rag. They always seem to take the side of the lawbreakers and paint the police as a bunch of racists. Most of the rest of the mainstream media is the same. I am sick of their whining and distorting the truth. No, more precisely it isn’t distortion, it’s outright lies.
Then we read about the comments on the California Senate race and we see once again, who the racists are.
The disappointing thing is that the Times has historically been a wonderful newspaper -- always had a liberal POV but it didn't ruin it's reporting as it often does now. And their reporters are great writers and smart.
Their pieces usually interview the top people in a field, and have fuller explanations and insights that most articles out there. Even their photos are simply better than most of their competitors.
All that, when it comes near anything related politics or social issues, their ideology routinely overwhelms their solid skills, giving us drivel like this piece.
Of course! Not trusting any information is arguably just as bad as believing the media. But what does one do when our media is so propagandized? I read a lot of substack, but how do I know that’s real either?
