Pfizer scandal: media blackout
The legacy media response has been to ignore, belittle, and censor
In case you missed it …
The College Board has released their reformed African American AP curriculum after Gov. DeSantis rejected the last iteration for teaching “Queer Theory” and CRT.
Catholic school students were kicked out of The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in DC over pro-life beanies they were wearing.
Makers of “The Sims 4” videogame announced that the newest update will allow a teen character to be non-binary or transgender and players can choose to have double mastectomy scars and chest binders in the game.
Dear Friends —
Yesterday, we shared some shocking undercover Project Veritas videos. You can read the video recap here if you missed it.
The Bad
Unless you read conservative news sites or regularly watch Tucker Carlson, there’s a good chance you missed the story, though. It’s been all but ignored by the legacy media.
I found nothing under “Project Veritas” or “Pfizer” relating to this story when I searched CNN’s website Wednesday, five days after it broke. Nothing on MSNBC. Nothing on CBS News, or ABC News, or … really any other formerly-mainstream outlet.
The legacy media response to this story is a scandal in its own right. Covid political blindness has gotten to the point of ridiculousness, and no one who follows just one part of the media complex is getting a fair picture.
The Ugly
The Project Veritas videos have also been scrubbed from YouTube for allegedly spreading bad Covid information. Project Veritas has been suspended from the platform as well. Ah, the irony.
YouTube does allow third-party reporting on the story, but not from Project Veritas themselves.
And there was this article from Forbes – “No, Project Veritas Video Doesn’t Prove Pfizer Is Mutating Covid-19, Who Is Jordon Trishton Walker?” It was written by “writer, journalist, professor, systems modeler, computational and digital health expert, avocado-eater, and entrepreneur” Bruce Y. Lee.
His main accusation leveled at the Project Veritas videos seems to be that they were supported by Tucker Carlson. And … that’s enough, apparently. It’s a good example of modern day activism disguised as journalism.
The Good
Project Veritas is among the few organizations doing actual honest-to-goodness investigative journalism. They’re definitely driven by conservative values, yet their reporting doesn’t rely on anonymous sources and hand-picked experts. Sometimes I’ve seen them oversell a story, but they’re always out front with actual video that you can assess for yourself.
Fox News has only minimally covered the story, although Tucker Carlson has done the best presentation of it, even better than Project Veritas themselves. The story appears fairly in the Daily Mail as well.
Finally, though, you can still find the Project Veritas videos themselves on Rumble and on Twitter, where it has now surpassed 28 million views. That’s massive.
Remember so many pro-censorship types weeping in their soy lattes because of Elon Musk buying Twitter? This is why. Twitter is now a major player combatting media censorship. That’s a welcome change.

I'm not surprised the media has avoided it. First, the claims are completely unverified. It's not clear that this guy works for Pfizer (probable), knows its inner workings (questionable), and was doing anything other than talking a big game to impress a date.
Second, Project Veritas hasn't released the unedited videos. I guess its commitment to radical transparency only goes so far. It also has a history of smearing liberals with selective editing.
Third, Project Veritas didn't do the difficult legwork of defining scientific terms like "gain of function" and "directed evolution" and delving into those nuances. That takes time, and I bet competent reporters are doing that right now.
Fourth, Project Veritas collects its information through deceptive tactics that are anathema to the traditional media. The media has become extremely cautious about reporting on material gathered through hacking, theft, fraud and other questionable means.
It hasn't quite been a total blackout. There are some fact-checks out there from Snopes and Newsweek. The Snopes one is excellent. It's also notable that the Daily Mail temporarily took down their initial, overly credulous article. The new story includes Pfizer's response.
Collusion? Oh NO! NEVER! It’s all very obvious now. The White House, MSM, and Pfizer are in cahoots. We are getting closer to communism every day. As a grandmother of two, I constantly worry for my grandkids and their future.
