That "we" in the first paragraph threw me off too, until I re-read the italicized preface: "If I were working for Nikki Haley, this would be my advice." That's IF, subjunctive voice, not Ken's own.

[Aside request: I'm trying to use italics and bold in my own comments, but can't figure out how. HTML didn't work. Can anyone direct me to instructions, or is it not available to commenters?]

Don't blame Ken for the intellectual exercise.

So I could say, "if I were a paid advisor to Kamala Harris, I'd befriend Nikki Haley and offer to resign and recommend her for my job, if she'd arrange with one of her benefactors to find me a way to earn, say, $10 million a year in the private sector for the next ten years on some board or another." It wouldn't make me a Friend of Kamala, just a practical wiseass.

If I were advising Haley, I'd say go run against Lindsay Graham. That way we'll be rid of at least one of you.

Ken, you're either a co-conspirator, a useful idiot, or a role player, no different from Haley or Ron or Vivek. It seems pretty clear that Haley is a co-conspirator with those who want to destroy the greatest country in world history, although she could still be a role player. It also seems pretty clear that Vivek is a role player. working with Trump as his "debate" surrogate to wake up the clueless Normies who wasted their time watching the "debates". The jury is definitely out on Ron. If he's a role player put in place to suck the oxygen out of the anti-Trump forces, he is one fabulous actor. If not, he might as well have been because, some $200 million down the drain later, it sure worked. We'll know by how Trump deals with him in the future, although signs are that they have been working together.

You're too damn smart and experienced to be a useful idiot, like so many who will never wake up and see what is actually happening to our country. So that leaves the possibility of you being a co-conspirator, working with the Deep State to overthrow our country, or a role player, working with MAGA to Red Pill Normies in particular who might be following you. As to "civility in politics", what a bunch of crap. Politics is about either getting enough people to support you with their vote to put you in office, or, like the Marxist Dems and RINOs, cheating to accomplish the same objective. We The People have had enough of the cheating because that is what has gotten us where were are now, on the brink of total destruction. "Civility" in our politicians, especially the RINOs, along with their unwillingness to fight for our founding principles, is a big part of what has gotten us into this mess.

Trump is overwhelming popular precisely because he seemingly has no fear and calls 'em the way he sees 'em. He clearly has the courage of his convictions as he is all in on accomplishing his life's mission - to return the greatest country in world history to its founding principles. You're either with him or against him - there is simply no in between. We're up against those who are already working for the destruction of humanity - witness the endless wars, the Covid scam and the Death Jab depopulation weapon. How can we possibly be "civil" with that?

No offense, but when someone starts a response that says I'm either an idiot or a deep-state conspirator, I usually stop reading after that.

Ken, why are you giving this advice to a RINO globalist? Are you one of them? Based on what I read of your advice I would say you ARE one of them. Let me give you some advice. Answer my two questions so readers here can decide whether to continue supporting your substack page.

Never thought I was a global RINOist. If you've read the last 100 or so of my writings, you can draw your own conclusions.

What I won't do, though, is bite my tongue and not write something because it doesn't fit with some party mantra. If someone appreciates my thoughts and leaves because they don't like one or two columns, I'll have to live with that.

Ken-- you're missing the bigger picture here. Trump *has* to win; or it's all over. It's not about 2024, but about every presidential election that comes after that. The establishment isn't ever going to allow us to vote for a candidate of our choice.

RE: Uncomfortable Advice

Your advice is appreciated, and it’s not “uncomfortable.” Being called a birdbrain twice is also not uncomfortable. “Come on man,” I am a politician. Admittedly, I am getting some pretty interesting advice from journalists, former speech writers, news talking heads, and the rest of the peanut gallery. And every time I smack myself on the forehead, and say, “Hey look, why didn’t we think of this?” My campaign staff always appreciates this insightful advice too. We kind of fight over who gets to comment on it first. But I’ll leave their comments to your imagination. As far as how to play my campaign going forward, it’s warfare, pick-up basketball on steroids. I’ve got a plan, but it will be destroyed on first contact with the enemy. After that my training and experience will have to kick-in. But thank you for your unsolicited advice. I plan to be myself and tell people why I want to be President. I hope that also serves as a good strategy, but that’s the deal. We’ll see here the chips land.

No offense taken but you apparently didn't even read my whole sentence, which was "Ken, you're either a co-conspirator, a useful idiot, or a role player, no different from Haley or Ron or Vivek." I'm hoping that you are "Door #3!", and that you're one of us MAGA Patriots doing what you can to help the cause of saving the greatest country in world history. Because if you're not, then, as I also stated, you are a co-conspirator because I know you're not an idiot.

I'm sure Haley would love to stay in as long as possible, but Ken, isn't it ultimately up to her donors, whether they want to keep investing in a long shot bet?

I love the idea of campaigning on restoring civility. Biden did that and it worked. Haley can't win over the Republican base unless something extraordinary happens to Trump. So instead of competing with him, choose a tack that would help you with swing voters in the general election.
